where is my self-worth?
I wade through the waters
Searching through the wreckage.
Where is my self-worth?
Have you seen it?
For it got lost long ago,
It was taken by the devil.
He was disguised as a prince
And he stole what wasn’t his.
He laughed in my face,
As he drank in my power.
I cried for help,
But no one ever came.
He threw me into the ocean,
And I’ve been here ever since.
Searching through the carnage
To find my worth.
Unfortunately there is a problem,
For I don't know what it looks like.
It was missing years before
The devil sliced it out.
So as I wade through the waters,
I search for a needle in a haystack.
Have you seen my self-worth?
If you find it,
Give me a call.
I’ll still be here in the waves
Recovering from the seas of my fall.
