who we are

New View Advice is a media company for the healing journey. We offer a new view on age-old problems and traumas. Created for humans by humans.

New View Advice is a media company for the healing journey. We offer a new view on age old problems and traumas.

We do not believe there is a one size fits all approach to healing. We believe every path is different, and we each share our own perspective and experiences in hopes that we help others feel less alone along their journeys back to the truth of who they are. We also believe that the human journey is filled with nuances, we step away from the black and white / right vs wrong point of view and try to take a new view of our own lives and the world we live in.

We believe that by sharing openly and vulnerably, we help others to feel less alone along their own healing journeys. We are stark believers in freedom from shame, and this happens by sharing our truth - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful.

We are a compassionate space, and we practice what we preach. We believe that by having compassion for ourselves first, we are then able to be more compassionate and empathetic with others.

New View Advice is created for humans by humans, because in a world of AI, sometimes you just need the human touch.

Amanda Durocher is the creator and founder of New View Advice. Amanda started New View Advice in 2021 as a solo-hosted podcast and since then it has evolved to feature more voices, perspectives, and content for the healing journey.

Amanda found the hardest part of her healing journey to be how isolated and alone she felt while healing from trauma. She created New View Advice with the goal of helping people feel seen, validated, and less alone on their healing journeys - all for free.

Amanda began her own healing journey in her early twenties after the death of a close friend. This led to more healing, which included healing from rape, child sexual assault, childhood trauma, and more.
