who we are
New View Advice is a media company for the healing journey. We offer a new view on age-old problems and traumas. Created for humans by humans.
New View Advice is a media company for the healing journey. We offer a new view on age old problems and traumas.
We do not believe there is a one size fits all approach to healing. We believe every path is different, and we each share our own perspective and experiences in hopes that we help others feel less alone along their journeys back to the truth of who they are. We also believe that the human journey is filled with nuances, we step away from the black and white / right vs wrong point of view and try to take a new view of our own lives and the world we live in.
We believe that by sharing openly and vulnerably, we help others to feel less alone along their own healing journeys. We are stark believers in freedom from shame, and this happens by sharing our truth - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful.
We are a compassionate space, and we practice what we preach. We believe that by having compassion for ourselves first, we are then able to be more compassionate and empathetic with others.
New View Advice is created for humans by humans, because in a world of AI, sometimes you just need the human touch.

meet amanda durocher!
Amanda Durocher is the creator and founder of New View Advice. Amanda started New View Advice in 2021 as a solo-hosted podcast and since then it has evolved to feature more voices, perspectives, and content for the healing journey.
Amanda found the hardest part of her healing journey to be how isolated and alone she felt while healing from trauma. She created New View Advice with the goal of helping people feel seen, validated, and less alone on their healing journeys - all for free.
Amanda began her own healing journey in her early twenties after the death of a close friend. This led to more healing, which included healing from rape, child sexual assault, childhood trauma, and more.

jen guido
blogger
Jen is a healing advocate who is passionate about guiding others toward self-discovery, empowerment and emotional safety. As a hairstylist, she found a passion in helping others feel more comfortable in their own skin. In the recent years, she has come to realize that passion extends beyond helping people love their outer appearance, but helping people meet themselves and truly love who they are, too.
Jen began her healing journey in her mid-twenties after suddenly becoming aware of things she'd pushed away that she'd experienced in her past - including profound loss, sexual assault, challenges in relationship dynamics with family, friends and partners - and started on a path that changed everything. Through self-help tools and deep introspection, she found the strength to face her own traumas and evolve - not into someone new, but into the truest version of herself.
Now, Jen shares her experiences to help others navigate their own healing process, offering insights and reflections that make the journey feel less overwhelming and lonely into something more empowering. New View Advice was a huge support in her own healing journey, so the full circle moment of writing for New View Advice is apart of that calling to share and help others.
