I am done hiding

I am done hiding,

Done cowering away,

Afraid of people

And what they may say.

I’m done dimming my shine

Out of fear and shame.

Done hiding my face

Afraid of false blame.

Time to be with the people

And their love and delight.

Time to lead by example

And shine so bright.

I now have my faith

And a deep love of self.

Time to step in the sun

And be my best self.
