a poem for worries

Today was tough, and sad, and blue,

Until I sat down to talk with you.

The one who whispers through the trees,

And loves all things, including me.

You told me to stop and sit on down,

And take a deep breath and look around,

At all the beauty that had come my way,

During this moment, this hour, and every day.

And how all my worries were stemming from fear,

That later meant more than this moment right here.

I let out a chuckle and sighed with relief.

And remembered that this life is really so brief.

Thank you for reminding me of what is important,

And that I am loved and always supported.
